Maureen Parker, LMP

Maureen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine.  She has been practicing as a LMP since 2006 after graduating from Brian Utting School of Massage.  Since becoming a LMP she has been traveling around the world working on a variety of professional athletes from Europe to Asia.  While abroad she decided to continue her education and she earned her Masters degree from A.T. Still University, graduating Suma Cum Laude in Human Movement with an emphasis in Corrective Exercise and Sports Performance.

Maureen is able to utilize her knowledge and love of Sports Medicine when treating her patients by performing active and passive postural assessments as well as special testing to assess her patient’s condition.  She uses a variety of techniques including Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, as well as Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) and Myoskeletal Alignment for treatment.  She enjoys working on a wide variety of individuals and has experience working with professional athletes, pre and post-surgical patients, as well as prenatal. She believes that as beneficial as massage is, it is equally as important and necessary for each patient to take an active role in their continued health and therefore she provides corrective exercises and stretches to help facilitate healing.
